ESMT Berlin is hosting the dialogue forum “Think 20 Summit – Global Solutions” on May 29-30, 2017. At the two-day conference, the world’s leading research institutes and think tanks from the G20 countries will gather in Berlin to discuss, evaluate, and adopt recommendations for solving issues of global importance.

ESMT Berlin has been ranked 14th in the first The Economist “Which MBA?” global ranking of the top 40 Masters in Management (MIM) programs.

The international accrediting body for business schools AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) has extended the accreditation of ESMT Berlin for five years.

Across industries, women are underrepresented in IT roles, particularly in leadership positions. To help in addressing the deficit, ESMT Berlin is offering two partial scholarships for the business school’s IT Leadership Program (ITL), each valued at EUR 4,450.

The startup JetEight, which was founded by the two ESMT Berlin Master’s in Management students Ruben Portz and Lisa Makarova, has been selected for the prestigious acceleration program of Startupbootcamp Smart Transportation & Energy, a leading global startup accelerator located in Berlin and focusing on connected and efficient mobility.

The Digital Society Institute (DSI) at ESMT Berlin and the Castex Chair of Cyber Strategy at the Institut des hautes études de défense nationale (IHEDN) in Paris have announced their cooperation to support international research on cybersecurity.

Space Shack, a 3500-square-meter co-working space supported by ESMT Berlin, is celebrating its inauguration in Berlin-Schöneberg today. Located on a site provided by the Pühringer Group, Space Shack is one of the largest co-working spaces in Germany.

ESMT Berlin participated in a global study conducted by the Global Network for Advanced Management. More than 5,000 students and alumni at 28 top business schools completed the survey, which focuses on the challenges facing women in global business.

ESMT is hosting the 4th MBA World Summit 2017 March 1-4 in Berlin.

ESMT Berlin has recently issued its R&D Annual Report 2016, highlighting the significant academic impact of the school’s research. Members of the ESMT faculty published 25 peer-reviewed articles, 12 of which appeared in the most influential A+ journals such as Administrative Science Quarterly, American Economic Review, Journal of Marketing, Management Science, and Operations Research.

The European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI), an international non-profit association focusing on corporate governance, has appointed ESMT Berlin President Jörg Rocholl as a research member.
