Historical campus tours

Discover one of Berlin's most significant historic buildings and the home of ESMT Berlin
he grand exterior facade of the ESMT Berlin building at Schlossplatz, showcasing a historic, classical stone portal integrated into a modernist architectural structure under a partly cloudy sky in the warm evening light.

Located in the heart of Berlin, ESMT Berlin's campus is housed in the former State Council Building (Staatsratsgebäude) of the German Democratic Republic. Standing on Schlossplatz, directly opposite the Berlin Palace, the building reflects more than a century of German history while serving today as a place of learning, research, and international exchange.

Join one of our free guided tours to explore the building's architecture, political history, and transformation into the home of ESMT Berlin.

Please note: All guided tours are conducted in German.

A historic building with a new purpose

Since opening its campus here in 2006, ESMT has carefully restored and modernized the building while preserving its historic character.

Today, the campus brings together business education, research, and public engagement within one of Berlin's most important heritage buildings.
