The FRS series gives faculty members from ESMT Berlin and other international institutions a forum for academic exchange. FRS invites participants in all fields and areas to contribute to the continuing professional development of the faculty. ESMT faculty (internal) and guest speakers (external) present their research on a weekly basis, typically on Wednesdays from 12:00–13:00. The Berlin Applied Micro Seminars (BAMS) are a weekly seminar series, organized together with the DIW Berlin, ESMT Berlin, Hertie School of Governance, HU Berlin, FU Berlin, TU Berlin, WZB, the Berlin Centre for Consumer Policies (BCCP), and the SFB TRR 190. Presentations are designated for accomplished scholars in the Applied Micro field from top universities.

• Seminars are usually planned for Mondays from 14:00-15:15.

BBS is an informal seminar for both ESMT Berlin and external faculty to present their research. A BBS is meant to be a flexible, ad hoc series to accommodate speakers from various areas such as co-authors. Brown Bag Seminars are typically held from 12:00-13:00.
