The conference brings together researchers from across different economic disciplines who share an interest in conducting experiments outside the laboratory, spanning artefactual and framed field experiments as well as natural field experiments, and often conducted in collaboration with practice partners in the governments, non-profits, or firms.

We look forward to welcoming you to the annual ESMT Accounting Conference. The conference is held every summer and seeks to bring together international accounting faculty for a one-day research event.

The Consumer Search and Switching Cost Workshop is dedicated to showcasing studies on the research frontier that examine the implications of consumer search and switching costs for market outcomes. This now-annual conference was established in 2009 and travels the world with a different host institution each year. We are delighted to have its 15th edition at ESMT Berlin in 2026.
