ESMT offers Master and Full-time MBA students the opportunity to complement their studies with a term abroad. Your next adventure awaits!

Students at ESMT Berlin have ample opportunities to experience international business at first hand and participating in an exchange program during their studies is one of them.

We have established partnerships with many top-ranked business schools and organizations worldwide to offer an enhanced global study experience and prepare you for the international business landscape.

Destinations

Master in Global Management students can choose from all MSc exchange destinations, such as for example France, Spain, Canada or Sweden, and we are constantly working on adding new locations.

For students in the Master in Innovation and Entrepreneurship or Master in Analytics and Artificial Intelligence, available destinations will depend on the curriculum and term times of the partner school.

For ESMT Full-time MBA students, destinations are currently in the Singapore, China, Spain, Mexico and Canada.

Application and Selection

It is never too early to start thinking about doing an exchange and how it fits into your study journey. We will talk about the international options right at the start of your studies to set the stage and will continue to prepare you for this fantastic opportunity.

The exchange for Master students takes place during the second year of studies, either in Autumn or Spring, depending on the program studied at ESMT. Whereas the Full-time MBA students will go abroad during their elective period.

Further information on all destinations, timings, availability and compatibility is available to registered students via the Moodle learning platform.

There are limited spaces available at each partner school and in the exchange program over all. Interested students will go through an application and selection process, which looks at grades, obtained, motivation and commitment for doing an exchange, amongst other things.
