Recommendations discussed at the T20 may be incorporated into the decisions of the G20 summit of heads of state and government on July 7-8 in Hamburg. On May 30, Rajshri Jayaraman, Professor of Economics at ESMT, will moderate a discussion focusing on evidence-based policy design. Established in 2012, the T20 is a politically independent network of research institutes and think tanks from the G20 countries that organizes a dialogue among their members and the policy community, communicates with the broader public about global issues, and advises the G20 on a scientific basis. The Kiel Institute for the World Economy (IfW) and the German Development Institute/Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE) are chairing the T20 Summit 2017. ESMT is academic partner and Der Tagesspiegel is in charge of conference management.
