ESMT Berlin hosts MBA World Summit 2017
Out of 3,000 applications, 100 exceptional MBA students were selected to attend the four-day conference. The attendees will co-create an agenda focusing on three pillars: nurturing a collaborative culture, facilitating high-impact exchange, and championing interdisciplinary approaches. Two students from the ESMT Full-time MBA class of 2017, Svetlana Lanets and Teresa Villanova, were selected to attend.
The MBA World Summit was inaugurated in 2014 to establish a platform for innovative and collaborative MBA students. Keynote speakers at the conference include Dr. Katrin Gruber, Senior Category Leader at Amazon, and the German contemporary painter Norbert Bisky. In Summit Laboratory Sessions (SLS), students hold experimental lectures and workshops, and the best student speaker will receive the Tim-Eisenmann-Award, named after the inaugural winner from 2014. The summit also includes presentations by partner companies, face-to-face-interviews of selected candidates with company representatives, expeditions such as the “Big Idea Lounge” for entrepreneurs to Axel Springer “Unternehmerclub”, as well as networking events.
Marcel Kalis, Head of Career Services at ESMT, said, “The MBA World Summit fosters a global community for top MBA students across worldwide leading business schools, and in so, is a great fit for ESMT. We are looking forward to hosting such an exceptional group of students on campus.”
