ESMT Berlin President Jörg Rocholl named research member of European Corporate Governance Institute

The European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI), an international non-profit association focusing on corporate governance, has appointed ESMT Berlin President Jörg Rocholl as a research member.

The European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI), an international non-profit association focusing on corporate governance, has appointed ESMT Berlin President Jörg Rocholl as a research member. The ECGI aims to reinforce corporate governance by creating an interdisciplinary network of experts and presenting the newest research.

ECGI was founded in 2002. It was established to improve the understanding of corporate governance based on high-quality, independent scientific research, and related activities. Corporate governance balances corporate, economic, and social goals with community and individual interests. It brings together a critical mass of expertise from different disciplines, such as economics, law, finance, and management. The ECGI includes almost 200 ordinary and academic members each as well as more than 160 ECGI Fellows and Research Associates. Jörg Rocholl has already contributed to the ECGI with his working paper “Institutional Investors and Corporate Political Activism,” which was published in 2016 together with Rui Albuquerque, Zicheng Lei, and Chendi Zhang.
