ESMT Berlin strengthens faculty

David Ronayne
David Ronayne joined ESMT Berlin as Assistant Professor of Economics on September 1, 2020, bringing the total faculty to 39 members from 16 countries.

An industrial and behavioral economist, David completed his postdoctoral research at Nuffield College, University of Oxford. He received his PhD and MSc in Economics from the University of Warwick. David’s research in industrial organization concentrates on the role and impact of information, intermediation, and policy on market outcomes. His focus in behavioral economics examines and explains why individual decision-makers behave irrationally.

ESMT Dean of Faculty and Research Tamer Boyaci said, “As a bright and upcoming economist, David is a wonderful addition to our faculty. In his young academic career, he has not only shown rigor in his research but also demonstrated his commitment to bridging academia and practice.”
