Richard Skalt
Richard Skalt is a manager at the Digital Society Institute (DSI) at the European School of Management and Technology (ESMT Berlin).
Richard Skalt is a manager at the Digital Society Institute (DSI) at the European School of Management and Technology (ESMT Berlin) and a Non-Resident Fellow at Agora Strategy Group. He has expertise in cybersecurity, technology policy, digital commerce, economics, and cloud computing. Richard has extensive experience working with quantitative and qualitative research methods and has a proven track record in conducting social science and market research, managing applied research projects, fundraising from public and private sources, organizing events and workshops, and writing briefings and op-eds related to digital and cyber policy.
Prior to joining DSI, he worked as a Research Assistant in the Technology and Global Affairs Program at the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP), held various positions in the private sector working on cybersecurity marketing and digital communications, and conducted research on critical infrastructure protection as a Research Assistant at the Chair for International Relations at the Geschwister-Scholl-Institute for Political Science at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) in Munich.
He graduated from the Double Degree Master's Program in Political Science (M.Sc./M.A.) at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) and Stockholm University (SU), where he received a DAAD scholarship. He holds a B.A. in Political Science and History from LMU Munich.
