Our Executive MBA is tailor made for busy leaders who want to continue to advance their careers while studying. The program is conducted in modular format – giving you space to focus on your career and personal commitments as well as your studies.
Balancing your career, your life, and your Executive MBA
- In-person modules take place approximately every two months (six on-campus in Berlin and two abroad), giving you space for life in between.
- Between modules your course commitments will take 10-15 hours, a study rhythm designed to suitable for busy senior managers
- We actively encourage family involvement throughout. Many of our Executive MBA participants are parents, and we host an ESMT Family Day so can show your loved ones your ESMT life.
While your Executive MBA is a commitment, it is one that is designed to be realistic and flexible.

There is a lot of work involved, so don’t kid yourself that it’s going to be easy, especially if you’re working full time. But if you are committed, you can achieve anything...With study-work-life balance, my formula was to do a little bit every day and a little more on weekends. During the program, the Career Development Center (CDC) can help participants can access individual, peer, and group career coaching.
Executive participants can choose to work individually with the Career Development Center and the EMBA Faculty Lead to arrange one-to-one networking opportunities with relevant alumni and other members.
When combined with access to ESMT's wider business network, and exclusive networking events, this puts Executive MBA graduates in an ideal position to negotiate their next career move.
