Andreas Bernhardt is Executive Development Advisor and Lead Coach at ESMT Berlin, founding member of ESMT's Center for Leadership Development Research, educator, speaker, program faculty, and top-team consultant with over 30 years of leadership development experience with executives from 50+ countries. He has designed and delivered many international leadership development programs and manages ESMT's pool of executive coaches.
He is also a CEO-/C-Suite Executive Coach with the Global Leadership Centre at INSEAD, one of the world's leading business schools.
In his executive teaching, coaching and consulting work, he focuses on high-stakes leadership, coaches CEOs and other C-Suite executives and their teams in critical transition phases, and runs workshops like โHigh Velocity Coaching: Developing C-Suite Leaders when the Stakes are Highโ together with his friends from the Institute of Coaching (affiliated with Harvard Medical School).
His executive education and coaching portfolio has included programs and interventions for, among others, Allianz, Bosch, B.Braun, BSH Bosch and Siemens, Deutsche Bank, Deutsche Telekom, E.ON, GlaxoSmithKline, Hitachi, Hogan Lovells, HPE, L'Oreal, McDonald's, RWE, Sanofi-Aventis, SAP, West Pharmaceutical Services, and the European Union.
He is co-editor of "Tricky Coaching: Difficult Cases in Leadership Coaching", co-designer and co-convenor of the yearly ESMT Coaching Colloquium, and spoke and presented at top leadership and academic conferences, including the World Business and Executive Coach Summit, the Worldwebforum, the Academy of Management Annual Conference, the Society of Consulting Psychology Conference, and the IOC/ESMT Leadership Forum in collaboration with Harvard's Institute of Coaching.
He studied Clinical and Organizational Psychology, Management and Organizational Behavior, holds a Master's degree in Psychology, and is an alumnus of INSEAD's long-term executive program โConsulting and Coaching for Change" directed by Professor Manfred Kets de Vries.
Additionally, Andreas has held the position of Head of Leadership and Human Resource Management Programs for USW Schloss Gracht and prior to this worked for several years in the Banking Industry as well as for the German State Police Forces.
