Caroline Chaussegros de Léry
Biography
Caroline Chaussegros de Léry is a PhD student in Organizational Behavior at ESMT Berlin and McGill University through a Cotutelle program. She holds an MSc in Management from HEC Montréal, where she contributed to a research panel on workplace dynamics, sparking her interest in labor market inequalities. Before transitioning to academia, Caroline spent over a decade in the creative industries, working in journalism, advertising, arts and entertainment, and as a creative in the fashion industry, where she witnessed systemic inequalities in organizations. Her research examines racial segregation in workplaces across the U.S., Canada, and Germany, focusing on how changes in firm boundaries and labor market structures have influenced racial inequality in employment over the past generation.
