Program structure

Day 1

Laying the foundations of the AI journey

On the first day, you will gain a solid understanding of the fundamentals of AI, including its terminology, capabilities and limitations. We will explore the key differences between predictive machine learning and Generative AI and establish practical applications of AI across various industries and organizations, and learn from realworld examples. To round up the day, you will learn more about prompt engineering and get firsthand experience working with a GenAI assistant to solve a business problem.

Day 2

Setting an AI Strategy and implementing projects successfully

On the second day, you will explore how to put ideas into action. You will learn how to identify and evaluate potential AI use cases and how to develop an AI strategy that aligns with corporate objectives. You will examine the core challenges and how to avoid the common pitfalls of AI implementation. You will learn how to identify the right AI use cases and discover how to find and use valuable data for AI solutions.

Day 3

Practicing: Developing AI solutions - from Idea to validation (Merantix AI Campus)

On the third day, you will take a deeper dive into the implementation of AI. This includes a hands-on workshop where you’ll get to explore the different steps that are required when developing an AI application using an AI business canvas, as well as taking a deeper look at the lifecycle of an AI project. We also look at the methods you can use to measure success (RoAI). The day culminates with workshop where you will get a chance to explore your own AI agenda in more detail, from two unique perspectives:

  • AI Strategist, for participants who have a specific use case in mind and want to translate what they have learnt so far to this case.
  • GenAI Practitioner, for participants who would like to increase their individual efficiency by applying GenAI tools and expand their prompting skills/ Gen-AI literacy.
Day 4

Guardrails of AI and the future of work

On the fourth and final day, we take a look at the essential EU laws and regulations that have emerged in response to AI, particularly generative models. Alongside this, we explore and discuss the ethical considerations relating to AI, including bias, privacy, fairness, and accountability. We then learn how to contextualize AI in your business and understand its potential effects on your workforce, including skill profiles, leadership techniques, and productivity.
The day ends with a final outlook on the latest AI trends and a forecast of what we can expect in this field over the next five years.

How you will learn

The program offers an engaging and high-impact learning experience that strategically combines a variety of interactive teaching methods, including lectures by leading academics and experts in the field, group discussions, hands-on activities to apply and practice newly acquired insights, and working with ChatGPT Plus. The AI workshop provides time to focus on your own AI agenda and receive peer feedback, whether you're exploring how AI will impact your business model and strategy, translating insights to your current role, or getting hands-on practice with GenAI tools and assistants.
