Beyond the classroom, there are many ways that you can expand your horizons and connect with like-minded people at ESMT Berlin. One great way to do this is to join one of ESMT’s student clubs.

Student clubs...provide a great way for ESMT students across cohorts to get together in a worry-free, relaxed environment and get to know each other a lot better!
There are several ways for students to find a community at ESMT. The first and foremost is making use of the amenities provided on campus – from playing table tennis, to foosball, to chess, or going to the student lounge or the information center. Students are bound to find people with shared interests in these spaces.
Additionally, they can attend several club activities like hackathons, venture meets, or fireside chats. These events are usually fully attended and have space and time for networking and chit chatting afterwards.
Finally, student clubs and events like the Bergfest provide a great way for ESMT students across cohorts to get together in a worry-free, relaxed environment and get to know each other a lot better!

EXTRA Sports Club
Who we are
Extra Sports Club is committed to bringing all students together through exciting and engaging sports activities. Our mission is to foster a strong, inclusive community where everyone – regardless of skill level – can stay active, have fun, and build lasting connections. We promote teamwork, well-being, and a passion for sports
What we do
- Indoor/Outdoor beach volleyball
- Golfing
- ESMT Chess Tournament
- Tickets for official basketball games

Net Impact Club
Who we are
Net Impact ESMT Berlin is a community of changemakers driving sustainability and social impact through business. Our mission is to empower future leaders with skills, connections, and opportunities to create meaningful change. Through partnerships, innovation, and action, we bridge business and impact while also leading fundraisers and sustainability initiatives to support our community and the planet.
What we do
- Workshops & events: We host discussions on climate change, sustainability, and social impact, fostering awareness and action.
- Pro-bono consulting: We support organizations (startups, large corporates, and NGOs in social impact and green tech with strategic insights.
- Fundraising: We organize fundraisers to support important causes. For example, in partnership with Action Education Haiti, we have held an annual fundraiser since 2014 to support students’ education in Haiti.
- Campus Sustainability initiatives: Partnering with Sustainability Ambassadors, we drive green initiatives at ESMT Berlin.
- Off-campus cleanups & community projects :We collaborated with partners like Brose and Siemens Healthineers for sustainability initiatives such as park clean-ups.
Our achievements
- Net Impact Chapter of the Year (2022-23): Recognized globally for our outstanding impact in sustainability and social innovation
- Action Education Haiti (Since 2014): Committed to funding the education of students in Haiti through ongoing fundraising efforts
Pride Impact Club
Who we are
We believe in creating a vibrant, diverse, and inclusive community for LGBTQIA+ students and allies at ESMT Berlin – a home base for queer students and alumni, especially international students who are new to the city and looking for their community.
What we do
Through Berlin tours, movie nights, Pride events, and nights out, we build community and connection. Through keynote talks, panels with queer professionals, and collaborations with ESMT faculty on DEI, we help members grow into more conscious, effective leaders. And through partnerships with other Berlin university queer groups, we build visibility across the city. Join us, grow with us, and help us shape a future where diversity is celebrated.
What we want to achieve
Our priority is a fun, light-hearted safe space for queer students and alumni – a place to land, especially if you're new to Berlin. Alongside that, we're building inclusive leadership through DEI education, and shaping our calendar around what members actually want to see (look out for our annual survey!). Events center queer experiences and perspectives – allies are always welcome.
Consulting Club
Who we are
The ESMT Consulting Club is a student-led organization at ESMT Berlin, dedicated to preparing students for high-impact careers in consulting. In addition to offering resources and networking opportunities, we provide members with practical experience by engaging in real consulting projects. Guided by our vision to solve complex problems through diverse perspectives, our goal is to develop the next generation of consultants through valuable learning and collaboration.
What we do
- Consulting projects: Exclusive access to real consulting projects where members apply their skills to solve business challenges.
- Networking & industry preparation: Monthly activities such as interview prep, case study workshops, and networking events to develop consulting expertise.
- Industry engagement: Connect with top consultants through events, webinars, and workshops to expand industry knowledge.
- Leadership development: Opportunities to lead projects and initiatives within the club to build management and consultancy skills.
- Collaborative environment: Work with like-minded individuals to sharpen problem-solving skills and gain consultancy experience.
Our achievements
Successfully completed real-life client projects, conducted several workshops and presentations with internal and external experts, and collaborated with consulting firms for company presentations and visits.
Investment & Fintech Club
What we do
We are doing three major activities:
- Learn Series: A monthly learning program tailored to enhance investing capabilities within the ESMT community.
- Connect Series: Establish a network with industry professionals with the aim of gaining exposure to market trends, and career options within the sector.
- Portfolio Management: Provide members with real-world investment experience through hands-on management of the Club Investment Fund. Currently, we are managing a portfolio worth €94,000

We are a community of tech enthusiasts passionate about exploring the latest innovations and understanding how they shape industries. Our club provides a space where students, professionals, and founders can connect, exchange ideas, and stay ahead of emerging trends. Whether you’re interested in fintech, AI, automation, or startups, we bring together like-minded individuals to learn, discuss, and innovate.
What we do
We organize a variety of events and initiatives to engage with the latest tech trends and industry insights, including:
- Berlin Product Managers meetups (in collaboration with BPM): A quarterly event where product managers and tech professionals come together to exchange insights, discuss industry best practices.
- Internal tech discussions: Deep dives into emerging trends like open banking, AI, automation, and more, where members learn from each other.
- Panel discussions with guest speaker: Conversations with industry experts and startup founders on the future of technology and innovation.
- Hackathon participation: Joining hackathons to collaborate, build, and test new ideas in real-world challenges.
- Research meetups: Exploring cutting-edge developments and discussing how they can be applied in different industries.

Our vision is to establish ESMT as the premier international talent hub for Europe's venture landscape. We want to be the primary bridge between Berlin’s vibrant startup ecosystem and global Talent/Founders, creating the next generation of industry-defining companies and roles right here on campus.
Women in Leadership Club
Our motto is “Unity in femininity”. At the Women In Leadership club, we believe that true empowerment lies in the unity and collective strength of women.
Who we are
Our mission is to create a safe and supportive space where women from all walks of life can come together, embrace their femininity, and uplift one another on their journeys towards personal and professional growth.
We strive to foster a sense of sisterhood, where women can share their experiences, learn from each other's successes and challenges, and find inspiration in the diverse perspectives and talents that each individual brings to the table. By celebrating our unique qualities and recognizing the power that lies within our femininity, we aim to cultivate an environment of mutual respect, understanding, and encouragement.
Through our programs and initiatives, we equip women with the tools and resources necessary to break through societal barriers, overcome self-doubt, and confidently pursue their aspirations. We empower our members to embrace their authenticity, find their voice, and boldly assert their presence in leadership roles, boardrooms, and decision-making spaces. What we do
We foster a strong sense of community among our members. Each year, we organize a special event featuring women panelists to discuss relevant and thought-provoking topics.
These events can span three days:
- On the first day, we explored how to find your own leadership style.
- On the second day, we focused on building a personal brand.
- On the third day, we discussed strategies for achieving financial independence and a salary negotiation´s workshop.
In addition to our annual event, we host various workshops and meetings to engage with topics that matter to our community.
For example, we recently conducted a workshop titled "How to Tackle Group Work: Why Is It Acceptable for Men to Take the Lead but Problematic for Women?"
