The Forward Society (FOS) Lab is a global lab where research and policy join hands to drive economic and social progress. We believe policy should be shaped by rigorous, data-driven research that puts people first.
Our model is rooted in research-practice partnerships, working with partners to deeply understand the unique challenges their communities face. We use data-driven research to co-develop workable solutions, to rigorously test them in programs and policies, and iterate as necessary. This iterative approach ensures that solutions are responsive to the evolving needs of communities facing pressing concerns across six major themes:
Education | Work | Health | Women and Girls | Governance | Environment.
Within each of these themes, we collaborate closely with local partners to ensure their expertise informs the research process.
Research partnerships
Research partnerships are long-term relationships that provide the opportunity for sustained action and collaboration across several different policy projects. Through dozens of partnerships across the globe, affiliates leverage data and state-of-the-art research methods to uncover evidence that helps move society forward.
The projects formed within each partnership are generated through ongoing, collaborative efforts with local partners to understand their unique challenges and to produce evidence-based solutions.
