Master in Innovation & Entrepreneurship

Practice immersion during your master

The Master in Innovation & Entrepreneurship program from ESMT Berlin is for those not afraid to change business for good. Tap into Europe's largest startup scene with dedicated support to help launch your business ideas. The projects built into the curriculum give you the support needed to develop the necessary skills and competencies in strategy, design thinking, and implementation to see your ideas turn to reality.

Explore your opportunities:

  • Vali Ideation Bootcamp

In collaboration with Vali, the Ideation Bootcamp enables you to discuss trends, technologies and pressing issues facing our world and develop initial solutions, together with corporates, startups, non-governmental organizations, and other like-minded entrepreneurial talents.

Vali serves as the platform for the ESMT community to meet, develop ideas and solutions, find collaborators, and acquire resources to develop and scale new ventures.

The Vali community consists of a broad range of individuals and organizations, including students, alumni, faculty, serial entrepreneurs, Venture Capitalists, and subject matter experts.

  • Summer Entrepreneurship Program or Internship

The Summer Entrepreneurship Program (SEP) helps entrepreneurial talents, like yourself, to develop and elaborate their own startup ideas: from finding co-founders, identifying trends, problems and building solutions, to pitching in front of Venture Capitalists (VCs) and business angels. The teams benefit from expert mentoring, access to the ESMT and Vali Berlin network, a structured program of workshops by entrepreneurs and thought leaders from Berlin's startup scene.

Alternatively, you can pursue an internship at a company's innovation or intrapreneurship unit. Between April and September, the internship will have a minimum duration of 12 weeks, but you may choose to do a longer internship of up to six months. ESMT's Career Services team helps you to find the right opportunity and prepare professional and convincing applications for your chosen positions. Most students find their internships through a combination of engagement with ESMT's partners and open applications to companies of their choice.

    Internship examples include:

    • Daimler working as a Venture Architect

    • EY working in Consulting

    • Siemens Energy working as a Strategy and Business Development Intern

    • Kearney working as a Summer Trainee

    • Tesla working in Business Operations

    • Bain & Company working as an Associate Consultant Intern

  • NEXT program, Creative Destruction Lab or Corporate Innovation Project

You will have the opportunity to join and advise startup founders by participating in the Creative Destruction Lab (CDL). ESMT Creative Destruction Lab Berlin the first CDL Lab in Germany.

For the Corporate Innovation Project (CIP), you will either deliver an innovation consulting project or develop venture ideas together with a corporate partner.

Visit Vali for more information on these programs.

  • International Exchange Semester

Students who choose to do Corporate Innovation Project (CIP) will have the opportunity to spend an academic term (term 4) abroad at one of ESMT's top-ranked partners in Europe and beyond.
