Jörg Rocholl re-elected as chair of the Advisory Board to the German Federal Ministry of Finance
At its latest meeting, the Advisory Board to the German Federal Ministry of Finance re-elected ESMT President Jörg Rocholl as its chair for a further two years from January 2025. Alfons Weichenrieder, professor of economics and finance at Goethe University Frankfurt and SAFE Fellow, was also confirmed as deputy chair.
The advisory board, which consists of up to 25 economists and lawyers, is academically independent and provides expert advice and opinions on economic and tax policy issues to the ministry’s senior management and to the public.
