  • You are a young professional in your twenties with 0-3 years of post-graduate work experience.
    (applicants with up to five years of post-graduate work experience will be considered for admission on a case-by-case basis).

Sustainability Bootcamp 2024 highlights

Get an inside look at the ESMT Berlin Sustainability Bootcamp 2024, in partnership with the Lufthansa Innovation Hub, where MIE students tackled aviation's sustainability challenges.

Key focus areas for the Master in Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Sustainability Bootcamp

Work with ESMT’s in-house incubator Vali Berlin in this ideation bootcamp to identify and analyze important issues, validate a market need, and develop innovative solutions.

Summer Entrepreneurship Program

The Summer Entrepreneurship Program is the perfect platform to develop and elaborate your startup ideas: Receive mentoring from Vali Berlin and startup founders as you identify novel solutions around which to build a business, and learn how to pitch in front of venture capitalists and angel investors. 

NEXT - B2B Accelerator Program or Deep Tech Innovation Program

Receive supports for ventures created during the SEP to reach the next level across six different areas: product-market fit, human capital, fundraising, legal, administrative, and tax issues. 

You will have the opportunity to join and advise startup founders by participating in the Deep Tech Innovation Program, the first Creative Destruction Lab in Germany.

Corporate Innovation Project (CIP) and Exchange Semester

Deliver an innovation consulting project or develop venture ideas together with a corporate partner. CIP offers a unique, hands-on opportunity to learn how to drive innovation within organizations. Through engaging workshops and practical activities, you will explore key areas such as developing innovation strategies, leveraging corporate assets, fostering intrapreneurship, and even building prototypes. Work alongside our project partners, analyze current challenges, and create actionable strategies that could shape the future of businesses. Gain valuable feedback from industry professionals, sharpen your skills, and make your mark at our exciting final event. 

Social Impact Project

The Social Impact Project is an optional project for the Master in Innovation and Entrepreneurship students . It is a four-month project with a five-week intensive field work. 

It offers students the opportunity to serve as an economic or management consultant for an organization with specific social impact objectives, such as a non-profit organization, a CSR department, a social entrepreneurship venture, or a social impact project of a for-profit organization. 

Finance Certificate

As part of your elective course choice, you can opt to complete five advanced courses in Finance subjects with a focus on global investment strategies.  

You will be issued an ESMT Finance Certificate in addition to your master's degree. 

Global Immersion

Practical experiences are central to the program, giving you time to apply new skills in real-world environments and prepare for the job market: 

  • Take advantage of internship opportunities in Germany or abroad during the program.
  • Take an academic term abroad (optional) at one of ESMT's top-ranked partners around the world
  • Take language classes in German, French, Spanish or Chinese (optional)  at our partner GLS Sprachenzentrum Berlin (German Language School Berlin).

Language learning at ESMT



ESMT collaborates with the GLS language school that has been offering language courses in Berlin since 1983. Classes take place at the GLS campus in Kastanienallee 82 and run once a week from October to December and January to March.
