ESMT Berlin: Jörg Rocholl elected chair of the advisory board to the German Federal Ministry of Finance

As of January 1, 2023, Prof. Jörg Rocholl, PhD, president of ESMT Berlin, will chair the advisory board to the German Federal Ministry of Finance for two years.

Prof. Rocholl has been vice-chair of the advisory board since 2019. He is also the Deutsche Bank professor in sustainable finance at ESMT, research fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), and research member of the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI).  

The advisory board to the German Federal Ministry of Finance is an independent advisory body that counsels and supports policymakers in decision-making by providing analyses, scientific reports, and statements on fiscal policy. The advisory board covers a broad spectrum of topics, including tax reforms, reform proposals for the federal fiscal equalization system in Germany, and the European integration process.
