Independent accreditations and international rankings reflect the quality of ESMT Berlin's programs, research, and executive education. Together, they demonstrate our commitment to academic excellence, responsible leadership, and continuous improvement.
As a non-profit private business school with the right to award PhDs, ESMT is accredited nationally and internationally and consistently ranked among the leading business schools in Germany and Europe.
Accreditations
Internationally recognized quality
ESMT is among less than one percent of business schools worldwide to hold the Triple Crown of international accreditations from AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS. Together, these accreditations recognize excellence in teaching, research, program quality, faculty, and institutional governance.
ESMT is also accredited by ZEvA, and in 2024 the German Council of Science and Humanities (Wissenschaftsrat) reaccredited the school for another ten years without conditions. This confirms ESMT's academic quality, internationally recognized research and teaching, and its right to award doctoral degrees.
Financial Times rankings
The Financial Times rankings are among the most respected international benchmarks for business education. They evaluate business schools across degree programs, Executive Education, career outcomes, international mobility, research, and other indicators of quality and impact.
ESMT has participated in the Financial Times rankings since 2009, consistently strengthening its position among the world's leading business schools across both degree programs and Executive Education.
