Vu Binh Le is an ESMT PhD student and a member of the Berlin School of Economics PhD Program (BSE). He was awarded an ESMT PhD Fellowship in 2018.
He received his Bachelor Degree from University of Cincinnati, Ohio, USA and his Master of Science Degree from Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg, Germany. He had worked as a research intern at the Department of Financial Markets, Halle Institute for Economic Research.
His research interests lie in the areas of empirical finance, in particular the delegated asset management industry. Binh's research focuses on the performance and the trade-off between performance and risk exposure of delegated asset management firms, such as mutual and hedge funds. He has presented the findings in reputable academic conferences in Europe and in the USA (Financial Management Association (FMA) Annual Meetings, 14th Annual Hedge Fund Research Conference, FMA Europe Conference).
