The COVID pandemic has underscored how access to and use of technological tools can be vital in the success of diverse economies and governments, as well as the citizens navigating both.

“Financial inclusion is positioned prominently as an enabler of other developmental goals in the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, where it is featured as a target in eight of the seventeen goals,” states the UNCDF. 

“Businesses can play a major role in contributing to economic, environmental, and social progress, especially when they minimize the adverse impacts of their operations, supply chains, and other business relationships,” states the OECD.

Much has been documented about the role of sexism and racism in reducing opportunities for women and people of color in the corporate world – whether in hiring, compensation, or in advancement to the C-suite and board-level positions or, in the entrepreneurial space, in access to project investments.
