The Dr. Jost Henkel Stiftung supports students of the Industry Immersion Program (IIP) with a total of €60,000 to enable them to participate in local industry internships and thus gain important experience for their future careers.

Women and people far from headquarters often need help to get recognition for their ideas. One way to help is to put all ideas on equal footing through a “blinding” strategy. This research studies biases, blinding, and how managers evaluate their employees’ ideas. Surprisingly, the researchers could not detect any major biases working against women and call on companies to test alternative strategies beyond blinding to improve idea evaluation.

ESMT Berlin is increasing its educational outreach in Central and Eastern Europe with the goal of acting as a vital bridge between the different regions of Europe, a strategy inherent to ESMT since its inception in 2002. As a part of this strategy, ESMT will enable even more students from Central and Eastern Europe to study at ESMT by collaborating with the Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC).

ESMT Berlin and the BMW Group are partnering to offer ten full-tuition scholarships for the September 2023 intake of the ESMT Global Online MBA. This program aims to nurture a new generation of leaders who will drive innovation, sustainability, and positive change in business and society in the future.

Raji Jayaraman, associate professor of economics and academic director of the FUTURE Institute for Sustainable Transformation at ESMT Berlin, Matthias Schündeln, professor at Goethe University Frankfurt, and Sneha Menon, research associate at the FUTURE Institute for Sustainable Transformation at ESMT Berlin, will work together with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the government of Rwanda to evaluate a nation-wide digital skills training program for technical and vocational education and training (TVET) teachers in Rwanda. The research team has received a grant of more than €300,000 for the project.

ESMT Berlin is offering several executive education full and partial scholarships to promote women in C-level and advanced management positions. A total of ten scholarships will be awarded for the three flagship programs Bringing Technology to Market, Executive Transition Program, and the General Management Seminar.

Researchers from ESMT Berlin and Bauer School of Business at the University of Houston have published “Solid Growth,” analyzing major global trends in technology-driven industries.

Vali Berlin, the entrepreneurship hub at ESMT Berlin, has published its first venture report. Over 230 ESMT alumni and students have so far founded over 200 companies in more than 15 countries in Europe, Africa, North and South America, and Asia.
