ESMT Berlin welcomes two new faculty members

Tatiana Lluent, Jamie Song
Two new assistant professors joined ESMT Berlin, strengthening the business school’s faculty in strategy.

In July, Tatiana Lluent joined ESMT as the Volkswagen Group Junior Chair for Diversity in Organizations and as an assistant professor of strategy. Her main research interest lies in understanding the sources of persistent forms of gender inequality in the economy. She studies the social and organizational processes that produce and perpetuate gender inequality in outcomes such as career advancement, wages, and participation in entrepreneurship. The newly created chair will also serve as a platform for exchange between leaders of diverse cultural backgrounds in middle and senior management. Before joining ESMT Berlin, Tatiana earned her PhD in Business Administration at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and her master's degree in Business Administration at ESSEC Business School.

In August, ESMT also welcomed Jamie Song as an assistant professor of strategy. Jamie will focus her research on how entrepreneurs influence the audience evaluation of their innovations in the age of digitization. She investigates how entrepreneurs' communication and their use of preexisting relationships help them gain support for their innovations. She received her PhD in Management from INSEAD and her bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College. Prior to joining academia, Jamie worked in the tech space and continues to be interested in digital platforms, entrepreneurship, and all things tech.
