Hami Amiraslani’s research focuses on corporate sustainability and financial contracting, examining the internal and external drivers and consequences of firms’ environmental and social performance and studying how governance and legal frameworks shape firms’ financial contracting choices and outcomes. His research has been published in leading academic journals, including the Journal of Accounting and Economics and the Review of Accounting Studies.
Hami received his PhD in Accounting from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Prior to his appointment at ESMT, he was an assistant professor of accounting and control at INSEAD, where he received the Dean’s Award for Excellence in MBA Teaching multiple times. At ESMT, Hami will teach corporate sustainability reporting, management accounting, and financial contracting in the Master’s and PhD programs. Before pursuing an academic career, he worked as a banking consultant in the area of structuring syndicated loans and project finance deals. With his appointment, the international faculty at ESMT has grown to 48 members from 18 countries.
