Our exchange program is one of the key ways that students at ESMT Berlin can take advantage of the ample opportunities to experience international business at first hand.
We have established partnerships with many top-ranked business schools and organizations worldwide to offer an enhanced global study experience and prepare you for the international business landscape.
Exchange options for ESMT students
Students from all three Master programs (Master in Global Management, Master in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Master in Analytics and Artificial Intelligence) can choose from a wide range of destinations, i.e. from different locations in North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia and Australia. The definite availability for each cohort depends on the curriculum and term times of the partner school.
For ESMT Full-time MBA students, exchange destinations are currently in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia.
Application and Selection
It is never too early to start thinking about doing an exchange and how it fits into your study journey. Right at the start of your studies, we will introduce you to the international student experiences you can apply for, to set the stage and prepare you for this fantastic opportunity.
The exchange for Master students takes place during the second year of studies, either in Autumn or Spring, depending on the program studied at ESMT. Whereas the Full-time MBA students will go abroad during their elective period.
Further information on all destinations, timings, availability and compatibility is available to registered students via the Moodle learning platform.
There are limited spaces available at each partner school and in the exchange program over all. Interested students will go through an application and selection process, which looks at grades obtained, motivation and commitment for doing an exchange, amongst other things.
