On this page you can find out everything you need to know about the program’s tuition and fees, whether you are eligible for discounts or fellowships and how you can structure your payment.
This includes access to the learning platform and content and required case study licenses. You will also receive a Smart Certificate that you can use to share your verified achievement with employers and social media. Smart Certificates will be awarded for each of the introductory and core modules you complete, and the overall MBA program.
We are pleased to offer you three different ways to pay your remaining tuition (tuition less deposit) for the Global Online MBA.
If you decide to pay in full when the program starts your tuition will be reduced by 15% to €23,800. Note that this offer cannot be combined with the early application award.
When paying over installments, tuition is reduced by 5% to €26,600. The first installment of €11,300 will be due when the program starts, while the remaining balance (€11,300) will become due one year later. These amounts will not change.
For the greatest financial flexibility, you can pay by module. While ESMT reserves the right to increase the per module fee, your tuition will be fixed for the entire program once you apply. The current cost per module is €4000.

When you are accepted into the program, we will ask you to pay a non-refundable deposit of €4,000. This can be reduced if you apply early.
For students who apply by the early application deadline, the deposit (which covers the non-refundable enrollment and Module 0 fee) is reduced by €2,000. The first payment will thus be €2,000 instead of €4,000.
It is not possible to combine the early application discount with payment in full; you can, however, combine this offer with payment over two installments, or with payment by module.
Some optional parts of the Global Online MBA can be purchased for an additional fee: Personalized career coaching sessions, as well as the Global Experience Week elective, are offered at an additional cost should you choose to attend them. You can choose to add these options after beginning the program.

There are multiple ways in which your employer can support your studies.
Ask your manager and/or HR department if learning and development budgets could be used to support your studies. Alternatively, some employers are prepared to pay all or part of your tuition as an employee benefit.
Your employer may be prepared to cover travel and accommodation expenses related to coming to campus and/or study trips.
In this scenario, your employer initially pays your tuition but then deducts it from your gross salary over a certain period (so that you pay them back in full). This may be preferable to asking your employer to directly contribute as you are not locked into employment for a specific period (though you will have to pay the outstanding amount if you leave earlier).
Your employer can also support your studies in other, non-financial ways such as offering study leave, work schedule changes or flexibility, and/or opportunities to combine study trips with work engagements to reduce your costs.
If the above do not work, you may wish to consider selling your time back to your employer as you approach the end of your program. All ESMT MBA programs conclude with a work-based consulting project so that you help your company answer a pressing strategic question.
Given they would otherwise have to pay an external consultant to answer it, why not you? With your insider insights, you are also likely to create much greater value.
Many countries allow tuition for higher education, and related costs, to count as tax-deductible expenses. You can learn more about the requirements in Germany, for example, here. Please check with your tax advisor to assess your personal situation.
