Assessing Deep-Tech Innovation Hubs in Germany: The Case of Biotechnology

The report, developed by DEEP in collaboration with the Bertelsmann Stiftung, examines Germany’s innovation potential in the biotech sector. It evaluates performance across five key hubs — Berlin, Heidelberg, Munich, Nuremberg-Erlangen, and Stuttgart — over an eight-year period.

The analysis identifies strengths and gaps and highlights the need for stronger collaboration between hubs to improve global competitiveness.
