Women and people far from headquarters often need help to get recognition for their ideas. One way to help is to put all ideas on equal footing through a “blinding” strategy. This research studies biases, blinding, and how managers evaluate their employees’ ideas. Surprisingly, the researchers could not detect any major biases working against women and call on companies to test alternative strategies beyond blinding to improve idea evaluation.

ESMT Berlin is increasing its educational outreach in Central and Eastern Europe with the goal of acting as a vital bridge between the different regions of Europe, a strategy inherent to ESMT since its inception in 2002.
