ESMT Berlin offers students new apartments near campus

Starting June 1, 2024, ESMT Berlin will offer seven fully furnished shared apartments to provide affordable housing for its students in Berlin. Each apartment will accommodate up to six people and is owned by the Wohnungsbaugesellschaft Berlin-Mitte mbH.

A recent study by Prof. Stefan Wagner from ESMT Berlin shows an increasing bureaucratization of Germany. The analysis, which was conducted in collaboration with the internet platform www.buzer.de, testifies to a continuous increase in the volume of federal legislation in Germany and thus underpins the perception of increasing bureaucracy in Germany.

As cyberspace is increasingly used in conflicts, cyber arms control needs to be addressed as well.

ESMT Berlin has updated its brand identity with a new logo, color scheme, and tagline “Business as unusual.” This brand transformation comes a little more than 20 years after the international business school’s founding and illustrates its forward-looking identity. The new logo draws inspiration from the iconic Berlin TV tower, which is visible from the ESMT campus in the center of Berlin. The TV tower builds a transmission line and symbolizes collaboration across ideologies and national borders, resonating with ESMT’s commitment to develop entrepreneurial leaders who think globally and act responsibly.

ESMT Berlin und BCG publish index comparing biotech innovation hubs in Europe

The white paper “Biotech Innovation Hubs in Germany – Divided and Conquered?” by the Institute for Deep Tech Innovation (DEEP) at ESMT Berlin and the international consulting group BCG introduces the Biotech Innovation Hub Index (BIHI) to assess and compare the effectiveness of such hubs in Europe and the U.S. The study, which places a special focus on Europe’s largest economy Germany, reveals that European hubs lag behind those in the U.S. except in academic research quality.

In Fall 2024, ESMT Berlin, EDHEC Business School, and Imperial College London, three of Europe’s most renowned business schools, will launch a joint master’s degree program.
