Foreign students allowed entry

July 3, 2020

The German government now allows international students from all countries to enter Germany to study. Depending on their country of origin, additional regulations may apply and will be updated regularly. Students at ESMT Berlin can join classes online until they receive their visa.

ESMT is carefully monitoring current developments, safety advice, and alerts regarding the outbreak of novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) to be able to respond swiftly if the need arises. We are following the recommendations and instructions of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Robert Koch Institut (RKI) in Germany. We are regularly checking updates from both institutions to inform our community if the situation within Germany or Berlin changes. The RKI continues to assess the risk to the health of the population in Germany as high.

The emergency number in Berlin to call in case of suspected Corona infection is +49 30 9028 28 28. This service is available only in German, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

For more information on the current entry regulations, please visit the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Building and Community page here.
