Digital Society Institute at ESMT Berlin and Le CNAM to collaborate in cybersecurity research

The Digital Society Institute (DSI) at ESMT Berlin and the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers Security and Defense Research Laboratory (CNAM EESD) in Paris have agreed to a four-year partnership promoting academic research and exchange on cybersecurity and strategy.

Experts from both institutions will engage in joint research projects and workshops to address industry-related national concerns in Germany and France.

„Security in complex and exponential times is a daunting task, challenging not only in itself, but in particular in the interlinkages with our economies and numerous other societal values,” says DSI director Sandro Gaycken. “Cooperation of the best and brightest of our like-minded nations is of utmost importance now to derive the best technical and strategic solutions for these and all our future problems, which, I am sure, will be very similar in structure.”

Le CNAM is a French public university and grand école. The Security and Defense Research Laboratory at CNAM brings together researchers and experts from different fields, such as applied mathematics, management, IT, and cybersecurity, in order to provide multidisciplinary responses to national and international defense and security challenges.
